Welcome to The Geography and History Teachers Association of the Northern Territory

 

The Geography and History Teachers Association of the Northern Territory (GHTANT) provides the opportunity for the sharing of professional knowledge, exploring opportunities in Geography and History in the NT, promoting the teaching of Geography and History at all school levels and opportunities for active participation in History and Geography.
 
We offer opportunities throughout the year for regional and remote teachers throughout the Northern Territory to attend professional development and network with other professionals. Please regularly check our website for details of upcoming opportunties.

GHTANT membership is for 12 calendar months from the date of payment.  Existing teachers will be sent a reminder as their membership needs renewal.  All new registrations can be completed by using the Membership Application form.  Individual teacher, Institutional, Tertiary and Student teacher membership available.

ALICE SPRINGS MINI CONFERENCE 

GHTANT, in cooperation with ETANT, is delivering a mini-conference to teachers in Alice Springs. Aimed at teachers from upper-primary, middle and senior schools, we will offer practical professional learning seminars on geography, history and English with a strong focus on multidisciplinary teaching. 

DATE: Saturday 8 September 2018

TIME: Registration from 8:45 am

Conference – 9 am to 1 pm

VENUE: Ross Park Primary School

COST: Members – Free Non-Members $50

Morning Tea will be provided
